Our LOI (Letter of Invitation) came through last Friday, Feb. 20! We need to be in Almaty on April 16th. We will then head to Taraz to start bonding on the 17th. Our guardianship meeting is supposed to be on May 4th. Then we travel back to Almaty and leave May 6th. Hopefully we will return to Kaz within a few weeks for our court date. It is going to be so hard to leave once we have met our little girl! We are very excited and looking forward to the trip.

Yahooo, Kara, and congratulations. As you know from reading our blog, we too could not bear the thought of leaving Max behind once we had met him. Then, once we were with him for several weeks (although only a few hours at a time each day), we really came to realize that he was happy and in great care in the orphanage. Taking him OUT of the orphanage was actually much more difficult than leaving him behind for the five weeks that we had to wait to return for him. I will pray that you will find the same peace with the care and love that your daugther is receiving in Taraz, and that you will return home between trips with such joy and anticipation (and a new "to do" list!!) that the time will fly by between trips.
Regardless, you know that we will be cheering you on and sending lots of encouragement along the way!
Karen, Glenn, and Max.
