UPDATE: I forgot to mention to anyone that you can link to this blog entry on your own blogs or Facebook or email. Anything to get the word out! Saule really wants a family. Victoria is with Interlink Resources and sees Saule a couple times a week. This is what she wrote me, "I would love, love, love for her to get her forever family. She is ready and waiting. Asking me to fix her foot and to find her family to take her home. I love this sweet sweet girl."
In November I sent a Christmas package to Saule (the little girl in Kazakhstan who we sponsor) through Interlink Resources. She received it on January 12th. I love getting pictures of her when she is opening her letters and gifts from us! It is wonderful to see the smile on her face. Since I have to fit everything into a 9x11 envelope I can't send much, but I managed to get an outfit, some stickers, and some bracelets into her envelope. The one gift I know she really needs is a family, though. And I have decided that I can best be of service to her by getting the word out and hopefully her family will find her soon. I know Kazakhstan is closed right now to new adoptions, but hopefully they will reopen soon once they establish the Hague proceedures within their country. Last winter we decided to sponsor a little girl in Taraz who we had met when we adopted Alina. She recently had a birthday and we sent a package along with a t-shirt that matched shirts the girls had gotten at Mount Rushmore this summer. Saule received her package and we got pictures of her with her new shirt. I am really happy that I found Interlink Resources and that we could sponsor Saule through them. She is a very special and sweet little girl and deserves a lot of love. Happy Birthday Saule! (She is available for adoption if anyone is interested!)
